Scenic Photography Tuscany Tour

The south-east area of Siena called by Dante in his Divine commedy "the desert of Accona" is what I consider the area of the dreamers!

The seasons and the crops in this unique part of the siennese countryside create a palette of colours always changing, green, dark brown or milk gray clay. Looking around you will see two typical geological peculiarities: some dome-shaped erosions named "biancane" and some sharp, iceberg-shaped ones named "calanchi" which will reaveal what this area was millions years ago....

A charming area where still unique but living small hamlets are spread all around and where the locals are very passionate about their traditions and typical products such as the artichoke from Chiusure, delicious when you eat them as finger food too, the pricey black and white truffles from San Giovanni d'Asso and the pecorino cheese done on a small production base by local farmers you might taste in a very informal way: as a pic nic style lunch under a tree's shadow.

If it is true that the artists have been influenced by the every day life and settings, Sodoma and Signorelli's frescoes masterpiece of the siennese Renaissance wil demonstrate that at the well known Abbey of Monteuliveto Maggiore.

This tour is highly suggested to those who love the views, the small villages and hilltop towns, abbeys, the movies setting and off the beaten paths destinations in general who are not too much interested in wine tasting.
